DRIVING DIRECTIONS to Dorado Beach East Community:
Driving Directions from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport to Dorado Beach East (about 29 miles):
We recommend using your smartphone and program DORADO BEACH RESORT to supplement our written directions below.
1. Exit the Airport:
- Head east on Airport Rd for 100 m.
- Slight right, then turn right, and another sharp right onto Marginal Aeropuerto (400 m).
- Merge onto Airport Rd, and take the Puerto Rico 26 O ramp toward Isla Verde/San Juan (950 m).
2. Get onto Highway 26 West (Expreso Román Baldorioty de Castro):
- Merge onto Expreso Román Baldorioty de Castro/PR-26, heading west towards San Juan for about 4.8 km.
- Keep driving in the right lane for about 8 minutes until you see signs for Minillas Tunnel/Highway 18 South (Bayamón).
- Exit and take the Minillas Tunnel (stay in the right lane).
3. Merge onto Highway 22 West (Autopista José de Diego):
- When the highway divides, take the right-hand side onto Highway 22 W toward Bayamón/Arecibo.
- Continue driving west for about 23.8 km. Be mindful of traffic, as Highway 22 can get congested.
- You’ll pass the Buchanan Toll Booth (no toll payment required) and then reach the Toa Baja Toll Booth. If you don’t have an Easy Pass, use the right lanes and pay $1.20.
4. Take Exit 24 to Route 693:
- After the toll, take Exit 24 (the third exit after the toll) toward Puerto Rico 693/6693, following signs for Hyatt Dorado.
- Stay right and take Route 693 North.
Note: The final steps depend on your specific community within Dorado Beach.
