DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

From Luis Munoz International Airport to Lakeside Villas

  • Exit the airport to the right onto Highway 26 West (Baldorioty de Castro Avenue) toward San Juan (East goes toward Carolina).
  • Drive in the right lane for about 8 minutes (or less) till you see the signs for Minillas Tunnel, Highway (Bayamon) 18 South.
  • EXIT and take the tunnel. Drive for about three minutes, keeping in the right lane.
  • When the highway divides, take the right-hand-side onto Highway 22 toward Bayamon.
  • Once on Highway 22, you’re all set! (Highway can get very congested due to traffic coming out of San Juan.)
  • Highway 22 takes you to Dorado
  • Pass the Buchanan Toll (you don't have to pay this toll).
  • When you reach the Toa Baja Toll Booth, if you don’t have Easy Pass, use the right lanes and pay the toll.

NOW, IF YOU SEE A LOT OF TRAFFIC BACKED UP AFTER THE TOLL:

  • Immediately after you pass the toll, take the first exit on the right, Exit 22A onto Highway 165 North toward Dorado.
  • You’ll pass two traffic lights; the third traffic light is the entrance to Dorado.
  • Make a right turn onto 693.
  • Continue straight, pass the homes, and commercial establishments; you’ll pass CVS, Walgreens, and fast foods.
  • After you pass the last Gas Station (a PUMA station) you’ll see a traffic light with a Banco Popular on your left. (This is Route 693)
  • Stay on Route 693 and pass the Rotary (Roundabout/Traffic Circle)
  • Make your next right (after you pass the Hyatt Hacienda del Mar) at the sign saying “Bienvenidos” (Welcome) which is just after road marker “KM 13.4”. This right turn off Route 693 is before the church on the right. (If you pass the Puma Gas Station, you’ve gone too far.)
  • Lakeside Entrance is 1⁄2 mile down on the right.
  • Follow the instructions to your villa provided in Section A and see Maps in Section C.

BUT – IF THERE IS NO TRAFFIC BACK-UP AFTER THE TOLL

  • Keep driving in the right lane and take the third exit, which is Exit 24 – Route 693. (NOTE: Exit 24 – Rt. 693/6693 is 3 exits after toll. 1st & 2nd exits come quickly and are for the same road but different directions so take the 3rd Exit towards Dorado
  • You will reach a Rotary (Roundabout/Traffic Circle). It’s the first “Dolphin Fountain” you'll find. Make a left (second exit) at the roundabout toward Route 693 North.
  • Stay on Route 693 North until you reach the second “Dolphin Fountain” (which has a few Dolphin Sculptures)
  • Make a left at the Fountain (leaving Route 693 for a few minutes onto Route 696)
  • Drive for less than a minute on Route 696, making the first right onto a wide road called Avenida Jose Efron.
  • On the left is a shopping center where Supermax is located. (You can stop to stock up on groceries if you want- but let us know in advance if your arrival time changes)
  • At the end of this road, at the traffic light (you should see Banco Popular on your right) make a LEFT to return back onto ROUTE 693.
  • Stay on Route 693 and drive past the Rotary (Roundabout/Traffic Circle)
  • Make your next right after the Hyatt Hacienda del Mar at the sign saying “Bienvenidos” (Welcome) which is just after road marker “KM 13.4”. This right turn off Route 693 is before the church on the right. (If you pass the Puma Gas Station, you’ve gone too far.)
  • Lakeside Entrance is ½ mile down on the right.
